Combat Skills Training - Ft McCoy, WI - 16 Aug-9 Sep 09

Prior to deploying to Afghanistan a combat skills training course is required for all personnel. The duration and intesity of this course depends on your job and your forward location. For my and 59 others in my class we spent about 3.5 weeks in training. This course took place at Ft. McCoy, WI As with any "adventure" in life, we have to recognize the positive moments given to us on any given day. There were several brilliant sunsets to be viewed during my time there.
Amongst the many other physical training (PT) exercises we did this one shows the Spiderman Pushup. As you lower your body for the pushup you raise your knee to touch your elbow. Use the opposite knee for next pushup. They kicked my butt. :-)
Several days arrived with foggy mornings. The sun was doing its best to burn of the fog on this particular morning, but not before capturing this cool pic.
All geared up and ready to hit the firing range! And for those extended moments of wait...a John Grisham book readily available.
After a full reiteration of multiple gunners the inside of our Hummer was covered with shell casings. It looked like it might make a neat photo, so I snapped a few shots.
